1-game suspension for Anton Hedman

Anton Hedman of Lulea Hockey has received supplementary disciplinary action for an incident that occurred Tuesday in Champions Hockey League action. As a result, he will miss one game.
CHL Disciplinary Board
According to the Arbitrator, and having considered the video evidence, the player Anton Hedman (#25) of Lulea Hockey, time 55:40, made contact with an opponent deemed Checking to the Head or Neck Area (IIHF Rule 124).
From the perspective of the CHL Sports Board, it is clear that Hedman made contact with an unsuspecting opponent, with the main point of contact the head area. As the video shows, Hedman altered his skating path immediately before contact to deliver a body check.
Hedman has been suspended one (1) game, to be served on Sunday, 04.09.2016 when Lulea visit SaiPa Lappeenranta. He will be eligible to play again on Thursday, 08.09 when Lulea host Eisbaren Berlin.
