The Champions Hockey League, together with its official partner Cramo, has hired some very important new staff: more than 90 Fan Ambassadors from all over Europe.
The registration to the Fan Ambassador campaign for the 2016-17 season was open from mid-May to mid-June. The feedback was overwhelming, not only in quantity, but above all in quality. The majority of hockey fans who applied were very creative, very committed and eloquent. Not an easy choice for the jury.
For this reason, the Champions Hockey League and Cramo decided to not only pick one Fan Ambassador per CHL team, but up to three – depending on the number and quality of the applications.
The list of Fan Ambassadors who will start their “job” with the opening of the CHL Group Stage in August can be found here.
The idea of Fan Ambassadors
Fan Ambassadors strongly believe in the idea of a pan-European club competition in ice hockey and are positive advocates for the Champions Hockey League. They support their team at CHL games, are keen to learn about teams from other countries, and are eager to share their game-day experiences with other fans across social media (using the hashtags #GreatDayAtCHL #FanAmbassador). It’s a huge role to play, and in return, the rewards can be just as big. The CHL and Cramo have chosen great people who are ready to make some great experiences – for a great day at the CHL.
The Fan Ambassadors are rewarded by the CHL and Cramo with two tickets per home game of their favourite team, a special Fan Ambassador jersey, a meet & greet with the Cramo Top Scorer of their favourite team, and a behind the scenes tour at a CHL game at the home venue of their favourite team. Further, the most committed Fan Ambassador will be awarded with a trip to the CHL Final on 7 February 2017 (decided by a jury). Fan Ambassadors follow the guidelines and tasks given by the CHL and its official partner Cramo.
