HK Nitra vs Stavanger Oilers.
Nitra and Stavanger opened Group J in Stavanger, with the hometown Oilers winning 2-1. Since then, Stavanger lost to Pilsen and Nitra beat Pilsen twice. That sets up this game, where Nitra need just one point to advance to the Round of 32.
"After beating the Czech team, we'd like to beat the Norwegian champions," said Nitra manager Miroslav Kovacik. "They're a very good team and we know to expect a challenging game. But I think we're up for the challenge. We know what's at stake and we want to advance to the next round."
Another full house is expected in Nitra, where the raucous fans have been a huge boost to the home team so far. "I think our fans are some of the best in the Champions Hockey League," Kovacik stated.
As for Stavanger, they're still very much in the race as well, and any points they can get would win them the tiebreaker against Nitra, if needed. No matter what happens though, their fate won't be fully known until after their last game in Pilsen.
