The final four teams in the CHL returned to domestic action after their midweek European exploits.
- Sparta and Vaxjo win both games on return to their own league
- Fribourg suffer double defeats
- Frolunda played just one game since their CHL match
Sparta had a pair of games since playing in Vaxjo last week, but haven't had much of a let up on travelling. A home win over Karlovy Vary 2-1 in overtime was followed by a 3-2 victory in Pilsen also in the extra period. The two-point wins over the lower-placed sides keep Sparta inside the Extraliga's top five, with the possibility to climb higher if they win games in hand.
Up in Sweden, Vaxjo and Frolunda met each other in Vaxjo just two days after playing their respective CHL matches. The Lakers ran out 4-1 winners that night, as they did on Saturday by the same scoreline against Leksands. The Indians meanwhile haven't played since, and lead Vaxjo by just six points now in the overall standings.
Finally in Switzerland, Fribourg remain at the foot of the table after two losses following their return from Gothenburg. Friday night saw the team go down 4-2 in Geneva, while a home 5-3 loss to Davos came the following night.
