Farjestad Karlstad 2–0 Bili Tygri Liberec
Liberec win on aggregate 4–3
With a three-goal lead to work with, Liberec played a solid defensive game on the road. Farjestad broke through with a goal in each of the second and third periods, but couldn't get the magical third one. Lars Haugen did all he could to help his team with a 22-save shutout.
Djurgarden Stockholm 2–1 KalPa Kuopio
KalPa win on aggregate 3–2
KalPa started the game with a two-goal lead and Tommi Jokinen made it three in the first period. Djurgarden then poured on the offence the last two periods and scored twice, but their CHL ride ends there, as they fall by one on aggregate.
Frolunda Gothenburg 5–0 Yunost Minsk
Frolunda win on aggregate 7–3
Yunost knew their lead was slim, and it was quickly erased. Niklas Lasu brought Frolunda even late in the first period and the floodgates opened in the second. It was a dominant team effort from the defending champs, with 47-11 the shots, five different goal-scorers, and a relatively easy shutout for Johan Gustafsson.
Skelleftea AIK 4–2 JYP Jyvaskyla
JYP win on aggregate 6–4
It was a solid effort from Skelleftea on the night, but they started with a four-goal deficit and never reduced it to less than two. Joakim Lindstrom led the way with a goal and two assists in his last CHL game of the season, while Markus Ruusu had a busy night in the JYP net with 38 saves.
