The Champions Hockey League Sports Board has taken disciplinary action based on a play during Tuesday night's Ocelari Trinec–HV71 Jonkoping game.

With input from the Arbitrator and upon video review, player Jiri Polansky (#23) of Ocelari Trinec, at 37:47 of the game played on 22 September at home to HV71 Jonkoping, made contact with an opponent deemed Spearing – IIHF Rule 161.
As per the CHL Disciplinary Regulations, a player penalized with a Match Penalty in a CHL game will be suspended automatically for the ensuing CHL game. The CHL Disciplinary Board supports the Match Penalty called by the Game Officials. The opposing player did not sustain an apparent injury on the play.
The CHL Sports Board suspends Jiri Polansky for 1 CHL game, effective immediately.

Polansky will be unavailable for Ocelari Trinec's game on 6 October at HV17 Jonkoping. If Trinec advance beyond the Round of 32, he will be eligible to play.
