After yesterday's General Assembly, the Champions Hockey League held its annual 'Club Information Meeting' for all participating teams.
For the second time, more information about the competition's prize money, Media & Communications, and Sport processes was given out by the league - representatives from all clubs, not just shareholders, are invited. There was also a presentation from partners Infront, CHL CEO Martin Baumann, and about the Fan Survey.
"As a new club to the Champions Hockey League, this was a very useful meeting to attend. Other colleagues attended a Marketing Workshop which was very useful for their daily work with the CHL, while for me this general overview of everything that is new to us is really helpful. We really can't wait to get started."Steve Thornton (Head of Hockey Operations, Belfast Giants)
Marketing & Communication Workshops have been held in Zurich (SUI/GER/AUT), Stockholm (SWE/FIN/NOR/DEN/UK) and Prague (CZE/SVK/POL/BLR) to give team staff working in those areas more detailed information about the Champions Hockey League, and their obligations for each game.
Färjestad Karlstad, as a founding club, took part in the first three seasons of the Champions Hockey League, but failed to qualify since. CEO Stefan Larsson ended the meeting with a short presentation about the benefits and networking the club has grown off the ice through CHL participation, especially with EV Zug.
"We have a wonderful opportunity taking part in the Champions Hockey League, and it's not just about watching Europe's best teams and players on the ice. It also gives us the chance to grow our off-ice relationships across the continent. We should always make the most of this opportunity."Stefan Larsson (CEO, Färjestad Karlstad)
