Champions Hockey League Game Days tend to go by FAST and it can be hard to catch everything that goes on in the pan-European competition - both on and off the ice.
We get it, and we want to help you keep on top of everything CHL so we've compiled a few of our favourite moments from Game Days 5 & 6. Coming up today...
... Rouen go out with a BANG, Adler top the Regular Season, our favourite goal of the season so far, Playoff tree is set and where are the reigning CHL Champions?
Where are Tappara?
... is a question most of you are probably asking and there's only really one answer: not in the CHL Playoffs. Three wins in the first three games looked like a solid start for the nine-time CHL participants but three subsequent losses sent them packing as they failed to reach the next round for the very first time, EVER...
Regular Season Winners
With 16 points from five regulation wins and one OT loss, Adler Mannheim topped the very first Regular Season Standings to put themselves in prime position for the Playoffs ideal bracket allocation process (think Playoffs Draw replacement - 1st vs 16th, 2nd vs 15th, etc.)
Shoutout to the Växjö Lakers who tied the DEL side on points and enter the Playoffs as the only unbeaten team still in the CHL!
This is CHL!
It doesn't get better than this - this incredible strike from Daniel Tedesco just four seconds before the end of OT won the Belfast Giants an important game against Red Bull Salzburg on Game Day 5!
The emotion, the drama and the skill - this is what we're all about!
Out with a BANG!
It was all over for the Rouen Dragons heading into the final Game Day but that didn't stop them from putting on an absolute show for their fans in the sold-out Patinoire Nathalie Péchalat.
The reigning French champions scored an incredible six goals against one of the strongest teams in Finland's Liiga, Ilves Tampere. This highlight reel is 100% worth the watch, trust us.
Playoffs here we come!
Last but not least, the Playoff tree is set! Which means we now have our eight Round of 16 match-ups and each team's potential path to the CHL Final early next year.
The Round of 16 will be played on 14/15 November and the following week on 21/22 November - mark the dates!
