And then there were four. The Champions Hockey League Quarter-Finals were decided earlier tonight when the final buzzer sounded in four arenas across the continent and four Semi-Finalists celebrated making it into the Top 4 of the 2025/26 season of Europe's elite club ice hockey competition.
We all know what you're here for: meet your Semi-Finalists!
Luleå Hockey
The past CHL Champions are now in their fourth CHL Semi-Finals and ready to make the Finals for a third time if they can overpower their opponents come January. They dealt two decisive blows to Regular Season Winners Ilves Tampere across the two-game Quarter-Finals series and are now one of the strongest contenders remaining in the Race for the European Trophy!
Brynäs IF
Back in the Champions Hockey League after a long time out and now Brynäs IF are in the competition's Semi-Finals for the very first time in their history! It's been a whirlwind of a season for the Swedes, who have combined killer defence and decisive offence and secured safe passage into the Top 4 with two strong games against a very strong KalPa Kuopio.
Frölunda Gothenburg
Four-time CHL Champions Frölunda Gothenburg round out a trio of Swedish teams in the CHL Semi-Finals - a stage of the competition they're at for a record 8th time! This is a name with serious pedigree and one that can never be counted out, so keep both eyes firmly locked on them!
EV Zug
Holding the flag high for the non-Swedish remainder of European hockey are Swiss side EV Zug. It looked like they had a tough job set out for them when they lost the First Game, but a precise, focused and pin-perfect game from the opening puck drop tonight means they make the Top 4 as a feared opponent for our SHL challengers! Are they ready to build on the success Genève-Servette and ZSC Lions Zurich have had in the CHL in the past two seasons?
Stay tuned to our official channels in the coming days for the official Semi-Finals schedule!
