Following last week's action-packed First Games, the Champions Hockey League Quarter-Finals will be decided with Tuesday's Return Games. To make things even more intense, three of the four matchups start with one goal or less separating both teams - here's a preview of what's to come!
Tappara Tampere vs Rögle Ängelholm at 17:35 CET will kick-start the second week of CHL December action. The thrilling First Game saw Rögle beat Tappara for the second time in a row to take a one-goal lead into the Return Game. The Swedes scored three in the first half of regulation before a third-period comeback by the reigning Liiga champions nearly lost them the game, but they managed to hold them off.
Jukurit Mikkeli vs Luleå Hockey at 18:05 CET will see Jukurit try to overturn a four-goal deficit from the First Game. The Finns had a draw of bad luck scheduling-wise, playing four games in five days, which was a contributing factor to their 5-1 loss to the Swedes. But all is not lost as Jukurit still have 60 minutes of game time to tie up the score, while Luleå will do their utmost to secure their place in the Semi-Finals with a strong performance in Finland.
Only one goal separated Frölunda Gothenburg from Skellefteå AIK last week so there won't be much to make up when they clash in the Frölundaborg for their Return Game at 19:05 CET. Thanks to a rather unusual goal from Andreas Wingerli, Skellefteå won this all-Swedish battle 1-0 to gain a slight advantage ahead of the second meeting.
EV Zug will host Mountfield HK in Switzerland at 19:45 CET following a dramatic 2-2 draw in Hradec Králové last week. The Czech team looked poised for a hard-fought win after a two-goal comeback in the final five minutes, but a late goal from the visitors finalised the score at 2-2, leaving the Semi-Finals qualification strategies for both teams rather easy - the winner of Tuesday's game will be the one moving on to the Final Four. Don't miss this nail-biter!
Here’s what’s coming up on Tuesday (times in CET):

18:05 Jukurit Mikkeli vs Luleå Hockey
19:05 Frölunda Gothenburg vs Skellefteå AIK

Aggregate score
The Round of 16, Quarter-Finals and Semi-Finals are played in a home-and-away, two-game series format and are decided on combined aggregate score of the First and Return Game. Overtime and shootouts are used in the Return Game if the aggregate score is tied after regulation.
Overtime is played 10 minute sudden-death, 3-on-3. The team that score the first goal are declared the winner of the series. Should no goals be scored, a shootout (five shooters each team) will determine who advances to the next round.
