Happy New Year to hockey fans across Europe. As we welcome in 2018, there's lots to look forward to in the Champions Hockey League!
The Semi-Finals
In just eight days the CHL Semi-Finals begin, with the first leg games. Oceláři Třinec visit JYP Jyväskylä, while Växjö Lakers are in Liberec to face the Bílí Tygři in a repeat of their group stage meeting.
The Final
Who will be crowned Champions of Europe for 2017/18? We'll find out on 6 February at the Final. The hosts will be whichever of the two finalists has the best overall record in this season's competition after the Semi-Finals.
Soon we'll also open the voting for the CHL MVP of this season which will be presented at the Final, as well as the voting for this season's best goal.
Race to Qualify
As Europe's top leagues reach the 'business end' of their seasons, it also means we start looking at which teams will take part in the 2018/19 Champions Hockey League. We'll tell you more about how many places each league gets, and how they're allocated, nearer the time. But for now, why not check out the League Rankings.
