Frisk Asker and JKH GKS Jastrzębie will end their 2021/22 campaigns in the Champions Hockey League on Tuesday. Both teams have won once already – Asker earlier in the competition with a 2-1 shootout win over HC Bolzano and Jastrzębie won just last week, 4-3 at home over Asker. Now the Norwegian club will try to repay the favour on their home ice at Askerhallen. Also on the line – with a regulation win, Asker can avoid last place in Group F.

For Asker, forward Victor Granholm and defenceman Niklas Nevalainen both have three points. For Jastrzębie, Dominik Jarosz leads the way with five points. Meanwhile, Czech goalie Patrik Nechvátal has been their man in net most of the way, getting the win last week.

Since last week’s game, Asker have played twice at home and lost both, most recently a wild 7-6 shootout loss to Valerenga Oslo on Saturday. They are seventh in their domestic league with 15 points in 19 games. Meanwhile, Jastrzębie have not played since last week’s game, so while rested, rust could be a factor as well. They sit fifth in the PHL standings with 15 points but have two games in hand on all four teams ahead of them.
