- Top Norwegian team Frisk Asker compete in their second CHL Season
- Red Bull Salzburg are the most experienced team in Group H
- With home-ice advantage can Frisk Asker push Red Bull to falter?
It's game day one for Group H teams, who were affected by the Final Olympic Qualification Tournament.
For top Norwegian club Frisk Asker, this will be their second time participating in the Champions Hockey League. The club has acquired four national titles in Norway's top league, the Fjordkraftligaen, and will get to kick off their first game at home, with the backing of their fans. Keep an eye on top scorers, and forwards Hampus Gustafsson, and Mats Frøshaug.
The Norwegian side faced tough opponents during their debut CHL season in 2019/20, and unfortunately didn't have any luck picking up points, but along the way, they have gained valuable experience while competing against some of Europe's top hockey teams.
Red Bull Salzburg will be competing in their sixth CHL season, and they have qualified seven times! Widely recognised as one of the top Austrian teams, Salzburg have six ICE-HL titles under the belt.
More recently, they finished third during their regular season in 2020/21 but will be without their top two scorers from last season. The Austrian side has compensated with the addition of forwards Jan-Mikael Järvinen and Peter Schneider to bolster their lineup.
In the CHL, Salzburg's best performance was during their 2018/19 campaign when they made it to the Semi-Finals. They fell to Red Bull Munich but have shown their ability and mettle as top contenders.
