After such a long wait for Champions Hockey League action, Game Day 4 is already here and in Group B IFK Helsinki play their second home game as they host BK Mladá Boleslav.
Both sides are looking to bounce back from losses, however the visitors, Mladá Boleslav, will have a bit more confidence heading into the game.
In the first meeting between the two sides, it was close through 60 minutes with both sides only able to find one goal each in regulation, but Helsinki took the extra point in overtime through a wrist shot by Roni Hirvonen.
Helsinki began their season with back-to-back wins, but come into this game after a 2-0 home loss to ZSC Lions Zurich, despite outshooting their opponents 39-24.
They’ll be hoping to find their scoring touch again against Mladá Boleslav. Through two games, they’ve had a decent point scoring spread among their team, with all of their goals coming from different scorers, while Otto Paajanen and Jere Innala lead the team with two points each.
Michael Garteig has impressed in net with a save percentage of 0.961%, so he could help make this another low scoring contest for Helsinki
For Mladá Bolselav, they might still be waiting on their first win of the season, but following their last game they’ll have a lot of confidence. On Game Day 3 against Frölunda Gothenburg, they were 32 seconds away from taking the reigning champions to OT, in what was a thrilling contest.
Through three games, Jakub Kotala leads the side in goals with two, while Jan Dufek leads in assist also with two.
