- First-meeting between the two teams
- CHL debutants Jastrzębie seeking first win
- Asker coming off their first-ever CHL win
Competing in Group H has not been an easy journey for either JKH GKS Jastrzębie or Frisk Asker this season, but they close out their 2021/22 Champions Hockey League campaigns in the first of two meetings against each other.
With qualification already decided in Group H, Jastrzębie and Asker will instead turn their attention on completing their campaigns on a high and improving their respective CHL records.
After claiming a point in a shootout loss to HC Bolzano in their first-ever CHL game, Jastrzębie remain without a win and have since suffered three straight defeats, most recently losing 6-1 to already qualified Red Bull Salzburg.
Asker meanwhile head to Poland in good spirits having recorded their first CHL points with a shootout win against Bolzano.
Viktor Granholm gave Asker a short-lived lead in the second-period before Bolzano replied, and that would be enough to force the game into a shootout, with Jacob Lagace scoring the decisive goal.
