- Klagenfurt secured OT win in first meeting
- Rungsted have had both games go past regulation time
- Klagenfurt have two wins, both in OT
After a tight first meeting, Rungsted Seier Capital host KAC Klagenfurt in a rematch that saw Klagenfurt seal victory in overtime in Austria last week.
Rungsted picked up an extra point in the contest, and after a shootout win against HC Donbass Donetsk in their first meeting, they currently sit third in Group G with three points.
In their meeting with Klagenfurt, goals from Hampus Gustafsson and Sebastian Sorensen helped force the game to overtime, while goalie Ville Kolppanen stopped 33 shots on the evening.
For Klagenfurt, they hit the road with back to back wins, but without a full complement of points after both required overtime.
First it required Nicholas Peterson to seal the win in overtime against the Rouen Dragons, and he added two more to his tally against Rungsted, but it was Lukas Haudum who would prove to be the overtime hero.
With four points from their opening two fixtures, it leaves Group G wide open, with any team really capable of taking control of the group with an impressive showing this week, and both Rungsted and Klagenfurt will be hoping it's them.
