- Both teams are out of Playoff contention
- Bratislava finish the Group Stage at home
- Třinec currently third in the group
With one Group Stage game remaining in this year's Champions Hockey League, some groups have already sorted both their qualifiers, and that's the case in Group F, but that doesn't mean there aren't still things to play for when Slovan Bratislava host Oceláři Třinec.
Bratislava finish their CHL campaign for the year on home ice, currently winless, but looking to change that in their final game. It's been a tough run of games for the Slovak side, whose closest game came on Game Day 1 against Leksand in a 5-3 loss.
Offence hasn't come easy for Slovan in the CHL, with just seven goals for. Tomáš Zigo has been the leader for Slovan in the competition with three points to his name, but they'll need a bit more scoring depth ahead of a tough test this week.
ForTřinec, they'll be looking to avoid falling to bottom spot and need just a point to keep themselves in third place. Following their 3-0 win against Bratislava last week, they'll have the momentum and it was depth in scoring that helped them to that win.
Goals from David Kofroň, Ondřej Kovařčík and Roman Szturc were enough to secure the goals, while a shutout by Ondřej Kacetl secured the win.
