Swedish standouts Frölunda Gothenburg will travel to France to take on Grenoble to begin their back-and-forth as the French side look to notch their first win while the Swedes hope to stay atop in the standings.

Frölunda have been as advertised to begin this iteration of the CHL, winning three of four match-ups and positioning themselves among scoring leaders and strong defenders. Ryan Lasch leads the charge with eight points (2G,6A) followed by Max Friberg who sits with six (4G,2A). On defence, Pontus Johansson has notched four assists to lead Frölunda’s backend.

Across all statistical categories, the four-time CHL Champions continue to stake their claim as a contender for another European Trophy and with a trip to the Playoffs all but secured, Frölunda enter Tuesday’s contest in a comfortable position.

The same cannot be said of Grenoble, however, as the French side have come up short in each of their previous four fixtures. They’ve come close in their matches with Mountfield HK – both one-goal affairs – but their most recent 5-2 loss to Eisbären Berlin has left the French still searching for their first points of the tournament. Grenoble's hope of claiming points before the season's end seems an even more monumental task with another tough test in Frölunda.

Staying disciplined will be the key for the French as the Swedish side sport the fourth-best powerplay while Grenoble have the league’s 13th ranked PK.
