- Slovan yet to win a CHL match
- Both teams already confirmed out of the Playoffs
- 10-goal game last time around, with the Swiss side winning 6-4
The Rapperswil-Jona Lakers are back home to welcome Slovan Bratislava for their second face-off and final game of the season for both clubs. These two teams from Group C met last week, resulting in a 6-4 win for the Swiss club.
In their first face-off, Rapperswil managed to get things going early on, scoring the first goal at the 3:25 minute mark. From this point on, Slovan managed to score the equaliser, but Rapperswil were quick to gain back their lead.
While the second stanza didn’t bring much action, the final period witnessed a revival in both teams' fighting spirit. After back-to-back goals putted for both teams, Rapperswil relented and took home their second win of their debut CHL season.
As for Slovan, the 2022 Slovak Extraliga champions have not been able to transfer that success to their second CHL appearance, as they have yet to snatch a win and have lost their chance to qualify for the Playoffs.
In last year’s CHL debut, Slovan fell in fourth place in the Group Stage, and it appears that fate has followed them into their second season as well.
Do Slovan have what it takes to finally snatch their first CHL win or will Rapperswil kill that chance? It's all on the line for both teams in their final game of the season!
