- Tappara on a 3-0 winning streak
- Rapperswil itching for first win in their CHL debut
- Gap widens in Group C
Tappara Tampere are set to host their second home game, welcoming Swiss side Rapperswil-Jona Lakers, after snatching up their third straight win against Slovan Bratislava, 2-0.
In their first face-off, Rapperswil led in shots on goal and faceoff wins, but weren’t up to the task to seize the win against the Finnish powerhouse, who have yet to lose a match in their 7th CHL season.
Newcomers Rapperswil have accumulated three straight losses in their CHL debut, but have played some tough opponents, with their last match against Red Bull Munich going to overtime, with Austin Ortega scoring the winning goal.
Rapperswil Head Coach Stefan Hedlund was asked about his team’s readiness as they gear up to meet Tappara and shared this sentiment: “It’s a new game and we’ll have to recharge and focus on that one and take it from there.”
So, will Tappara remain undefeated, or will the Swiss rookies manage to snatch their first win? Stay tuned to find out!
