- Skellefteå have already qualified for the Playoffs
- Both teams have a 3-2 win-loss record
- Keep an eye on the Slovenian duo Jeglič/Urbas as Bremerhaven look to make Playoffs spot official
Skellefteå AIK will host Pinguins Bremerhaven at Skellefteå Kraft Arena for Game Day 6, their final game of this year's CHL Regular Season. Both teams have performed well so far, with the Swedes already securing a Playoff spot with ten points, while Bremerhaven are close behind with nine points and still fighting for qualification.
Skellefteå have had a solid season, holding a 3-2 win-loss record. They suffered one regulation loss to the Sheffield Steelers and a shootout loss to the Straubing Tigers. Their penalty kill has been strong, successfully defending 17 of 22 penalties. However, they could improve on the powerplay, having scored just three goals in 19 opportunities.
Bremerhaven also boast a 3-2 record, but both their losses came in regulation, leaving them one point behind Skellefteå. Their strength lies in defence, allowing only two goals against per game on average. They have been particularly effective on the penalty kill, defending 11 of 12 penalties. The Swedes will have to work hard to get on the scoreboard against these German challengers!
Key players to watch include Skellefteå forward Andreas Johnson, who has five goals and one assist and Bremerhaven’s Slovenian duo, Žiga Jeglič and Jan Urbas, who are both in great form this season.
