The Bordeaux Boxers secured their first-ever Champions Hockey League win with a 4-2 showing over Graz99ers. Adler Mannheim, meanwhile, experienced their first loss of the 2026/27 campaign in a 3-1 decision against Skellefteå AIK. 

Mannheim didn't get on the board until the 59th minute of the contest, after the Swedes had already put three past Jake Hildebrand. This lack of offence was made worse by the fact that the Germans had five opportunities on the powerplay and failed to convert on every chance. This is a red flag that needs to be their primary focus moving forward - they currently sit 14th in the league with a PP conversion rate of just 18.18%. Saddling up on the man-advantage with a much more focused display will only help the club overcome their special teams' deficiencies and increase the likelihood of capturing that second victory.

Bordeaux kept their road show going with an impressive rebound win over their Austrian challengers. The French club trailed early but bounced back nicely, scoring two in the first and two in the third to secure the win. Julien Guillaume led the way with two points (1G, 1A) and Kévin Dusseau ended up scoring the game winner. As they prepare for their battle with Mannheim, Bordeaux will need to be sure to stay out of the box. The French's PK hasn't been so effective this season - operating at 66.67% efficiency. Consequently, maintaining their discipline is paramount.
