- Berlin already through to Playoffs
- Klagenfurt out of Playoff contention
- Valuble points up for grabs for Berlin
The stage is set in Berlin, as Eisbären Berlin clash with Austrian opponents KAC Klagenfurt on home ice for each team's final game in the Regular Season of this Champions Hockey League season.
The Germans got off to a rough start to their 2026/27 campaign after being dealt a tough draw with powerhouse opponents like HC Davos and Genève-Servette. However, they quickly bounced back with some impressive victories over teams like Danish debutants Herning Blue Fox and the Graz99ers. They capped their bounce-back after early struggles off with a brilliant triumph over Austrian powerhouse Red Bull Salzburg. Despite a Playoff spot already secured, Berlin still want as many points as possible to help them climb the Regular Season Standings and secure a more favourable draw position.
Klagenfurt enjoyed a great season opener against French CHL debutants Bordeaux Boxers, but from then on, their campaign took an unexpected turn, leaving further wins just out of reach. Having been eliminated from Playoff contention, Klagenfurt now have a final opportunity to end their losing streak, show their true grit and prove themselves on the European stage one final time in 2026/27.
Everything points to a fast-paced, high-energy hockey showdown where both sides will look to put on a smashing show for the fans!
