After being on the losing side of two consecutive shutout decisions, Rögle Ängelholm engineered one of their own as they dismantled Red Bull Salzburg 5-0 on home ice. Tappara Tampere also produced a win with their 2-1 effort over the Växjö Lakers. 

Tappara's usual offence wasn't as potent in their game against Växjö, but it didn't matter as Christian Heljanko was his usual excellent self. Stopping 23 of 24 shots, the former Champions Hockey League Champion, manufactured several key saves throughout the contest and was, arguably, the reason the Finns skated away with three points. Moving forward, more performances like this from the 29-year-old will certainly bring his club into the upper echelons of the competition. 

Rögle were bad until they weren't. Two shutout losses in two CHL contests isn't exactly the resume one would expect from a former CHL Champion team, but that was the case - until the Swedes woke up. A powerplay tally by Joel Kellman kicked things off and from there, Rögle were unstoppable. Mark Friedman scored twice and Arvid Holm was a beast in the crease. This is exactly the recipe the Swedes will need to follow if they hope to pull out the win against a defensively savvy team in Tappara.

Odds of their success certainly increase if they're able to pick up their powerplay numbers. The Swedes are currently at the bottom in this category, converting at only 8.33%.
