The Boxers' Quentin Tomasino kicked off the scoring in the first period and it wouldn't be until the 33rd minute of the contest that the Austrians finally found the equaliser off the stick of Thimo Nickl. Then in the extra session, it was Nicholas Petersen lighting the lamp on the powerplay and awarding Klagenfurt the extra point in the standings.

As they get set to test their skills against a capable opponent in Fribourg, the Austrians will need to find a way to contain a club that's shown when they have the time and space, they can find the net. This starts and ends with a solid performance between the pipes; if they can replicate their dominance on defence, they are more than able to register their second win.

Graz99ers didn't go quietly, as they continued to maintain the pace with the Swiss, but Fribourg's quick response should be the central theme here, as despite being matched by the Austrians, when given the chance, the Swiss were able to capitalize swiftly - Yannick Rathgeb broke the deadlock and Anthony Richard added the insurance. Fribourg's focus moving forward should be on cultivating that offensive identity and that means continuing to get production from the likes of Richard.
