Brynäs IF took two points from their first ever CHL game after beating IFK Helsinki in a shootout. Their second game will also be at home, but this time the opponent will be Comarch Cracovia - certainly a different type of team, but at this stage of the season, the Swedes don’t want to take anything for granted.
Before his team’s first competitive game of the season on Friday, Brynäs Head Coach Roger Melin said that “the most important things are having the right attitude and keeping our speed up. The rest will come.” That should be the recipe for success against Cracovia as well.
Cracovia, meanwhile, have nothing to lose. They weren’t pushovers in Munich, losing by a respectable margin, and they know what they have to do to keep the score respectable against a Swedish club.
“They are a really strong team with many top-level players who have great technical skills and scoring ability,” said Cracovia Head Coach Rudolf Rohaček. “It will be essential that we stay fully concentrated when we take on Brynäs IF as they do not need much to create goal-scoring chances.”
