HC Davos will need to avoid a slip-up against the Cardiff Devils if they want to stay in contention for qualification from Group F. The Swiss side go into the game four points behind Liberec with a game in hand, as the play-off battle gets serious.
Cardiff blew another two-goal lead against Liberec earlier this week, and with Vaxjo to come will want to finally get their first CHL points. "We want to pick up our performance and get a win. It's going to be tough, they're a good team, they need the three points to progress to the next round," said Matthew Myers of the Devils. "But we also want to restore some pride and take a home win."
"The rink here is small, but their fans will make a lot of noise," explained Davos' Samuel Walser. "We can't under estimate them and have to give it our best. If we don't, we'll suffer".
