- An OT/SO win for Djurgården would see both teams advance from Group E
- Swedes with decent start in SHL
- Tappara with two straight Liiga losses
Both Djurgården Stockholm and Tappara Tampere have yet to secure their place in the next round of the CHL, but a win for the home side after overtime or in a shootout would see them both through with a game to spare. In the race to top the group, Tappara have a one-point advantage.
Djurgården have started the season well in Sweden and sit third with 14 points from seven games - two one-point losses in their last three games taking the gloss off a little. The team boasts the three top points scorers in the SHL, Jacob Josefson (11), Jakob Lilja (11) & Daniel Brodin (8) all leading the way.
Tappara have not had the start they would have wanted in the Liiga, with just two regulation wins in 10 games so far. The team have lost their last two games straight, or did take a point in a shootout defeat to JYP in their last game. Tomáš Záborský has been a shining light however, 12 points (5+7) in 10 games.
