Bern and TPS were both involves in games where one side scored five goals on opening day, but in very different outcomes.
The Swiss side came through their Nottingham test 5-2 and now host the team from Head Coach Kari Jalonen's home town. "Of course it's special to play them in the Champions Hockey League," said Jalonen. "I know a lot of the people at the club so it will be an interesting experience."
For TPS, the 5-1 defeated to Mountfield was not the start they'd hoped for in this year's competition. "We have to learn from this" said TPS' Tomi Kallio after the loss to Mountfield. "We can't make so many silly mistakes against Bern. Also we need to try and play a bit faster than we did vs. Mountfield."
