Both Liberec and Cardiff lost their opening games in very different fashions, but both wil lbe aiming to get their first win of this CHL season when the teams meet today.

Liberec fought their way back to lead Vaxjo 3-2 before conceding an equaliser and then ultimately losing in overtime. "Cardiff had a strong season, winning the regular season and making playoff finals. It is always hard to win a game against team with winning attitude," said Head Coach Filip Pešán.

Cardiff were soundly beaten 10-1 in Davos but move on with the chance to start fresh in the Czech Republic. "We didn't move our feet quick enough, but we learnt from the game and move on now to Liberec," said Joey Hadadd. "We know Liberec will be a very fast team who move the puck quick, so we have to be ready."
