- Both sides lost opening games
- Mountfield know they must win to stay alive in the gorup
- Rouen looking for first CHL goal of the season
An inspired Rouen Dragons side will be looking to join the Thomas Sabo Ice Tigers in earning their first ever Champions Hockey League victory when they arrive to face Mountfield HK in the ČPP Arena.
Both these sides have begun their CHL campaigns in a similar fashion to how they ended their last ones; bottom of the Group Table. The Dragons however find themselves statistically last on goal difference, after their 4-0 away loss to a superior Kärpät Oulu team. The result won’t have completely dampened the French team’s spirits, who would have been lifted after seeing the opposing score-line in Group F that day.
The only team in the Group that didn’t benefit from the result in mind that day were Mountfield HK, who lost 2-1 to one of the competitions newcomers, the Ice Tigers, despite putting 40 shots on goal. They will hope to restore some home pride by against a French side that, while not expecting to progress very far, know that they are representing themselves and French hockey.
