Having beaten TPS 5-1 on opening day, Mountfield HK host Nottingham looking to cement their place in the driving seat of Group F.
Mountfield probably couldn't have dreamt of a better start in the CHL, but know it'll be a different sort of game against the Panthers. "We expect a more physical game than against TPS because they have more North American players," said Lukáš Vopelka. "But we have to play the same game as we did today and hope we are successful."
Nottingham surprised many by holding SC Bern to a 5-2 scoreline in Switzerland, and head to the Czech Republic knowing another solid performance could see them get rewards. “We’ve never taken on Czech opponents in the CHL, but HK Mountfield have never taken on the Panthers either so it should be an interesting matchup for both teams," said Head Coach Corey Neilson. "We’ve had some scouting reports from players who’ve been with us in the past and who know this club. They’re good but we’ll give it a go."
