- Pirates set for first ever CHL home game
- Capitals desperately need to get points on the board
- Win for the hosts could all-but end Vienna's hopes of going further
Aalborg surprised last week with results on the road, while Vienna will look to get off the mark.
The Aalborg Pirates probably couldn't have wished for a better start last week as they took three points from their pair of road games. In Zurich the Danish champions led by two before conceding late goals, and then lost out in overtime. In Vienna, they took an OT win after three periods of regulation ended 2-2.
Vienna by contrast would probably have expected to not get many points out of the Frölunda game, but by Head Coach Dave Cameron's own admission, Aalborg "are the type of team you have to beat if you want to go further". With no points from their opening games, the Austrians risk being left with an almost impossible situation to overturn if they don't pick something up here.
