The two qualifiers from Group G are already known, with 1st place still to be decided. Brynäs IF host Red Bull Munich in Gävle needing only a single point to secure top spot, while Munich must win in regulation time. In the group's other game, both IFK Helsinki and Comarch Cracovia know they will finish 3rd and fourth, respectively, as Cracovia take another shot at earning their first CHL win.
