Having won both of their games on the road last week by a combined score of 13-2 Tappara Tampere probably couldn't have asked to be in a better position in their group. Two wins on home ice and other results going their way could see them qualified by Sunday night already.
"We're learning from each games, watching the videos, and seeing how we can improve," said Tappara's Kristian Kuusela. "The wins were the most important thing and it gives confidence to all of the guys, I’m happy about that."
Salzburg, on the other hand, look to be in a battle with Wolfsburg for the other place in the next round, so anything they can pick up on the road against the group leaders will be a huge help. "We will check the videos of how they played in Wolfsburg too, but also have to focus on ourselves," admitted Alexander Rauchenwald. "We lost 6-1 to them before, that's not how we do it, especially at home, so we have to be better on Friday."
