Frölunda hosted Zurich on the opening day of the tournament and it was a dandy, with the Indians winning 5-4 in overtime. Since then, both teams have won twice and now they meet again in Zurich with first place on the line. The winner of this game could qualify immediately for a playoff spot if Gap beats Klagenfurt in the other Group H game.
On facing Frölunda, CHL goal-scoring leader Pius Suter said on Thursday night: “We played them once already so we know how we’re gonna play and how the game’s gonna be, so we just have to have a good practice tomorrow, get some speed in it and we’ll be ready.”
As for what his team can expect in Zurich, Frölunda captain Joel Lundqvist said: “The same. It’s a skilled team with a lot of speed, so it’s gonna be a tough game for us, for sure. We’re looking forward to Saturday.”
