Swiss side EV Zug hosted Olimpija Ljubljana for their second duel and their final match of the 2022/23 Group Stage. Zug controlled this game from start to finish, scoring two in the opening period, two in the middle frame and one more before the final buzzer to pick up their sixth consecutive win of the season.
Ljubljana, who entered the game already knowing they would not feature in the Playoffs, ended their debut CHL season with two goals in the Bossard Arena, as Tadej Čimžar beat Luca Hollenstein eight minutes into the second period before Joseph Yasuo Garreffa recorded the Slovenian side's final goal of 2022/23 after some solid stickwork in front of the home team net gave him just enough space to fire the puck into Zug's net one final time.
