A solid bounce-back effort for Frölunda Gothenburg saw them pot five goals - including one goalie goal - past Storhamar Hamar en route to their 5-3 victory.

Teams matched markers in the first with Frölunda's Patrik Puistola breaking through on the powerplay when he redirected the puck past Theo R. de Vries at 11:34, and then Storhamar's Joe Gatenby got his team on the board with a slapper from the point with less than four minutes to go in the period.

Both clubs continued generating chances through the second stanza, but it wasn't until the latter half of the period that pucks started getting through.

David Aas-Larsen made it a 2-1 contest in favour of Storhamar when he pounced on a loose puck near the crease and lifted it into the net for his first of the campaign.

The Swedes then scored two of their own to re-take the lead. First, it was Henrik Tömmernes who got control of the puck, sifted along the blueline and let one go through that found its way through bodies and past R. de Vries to level the score at 2-2. Moments later, Linus Högberg converted for his second of the season when he received a pass between the circles and wristed an innocent shot that beat the netminder stick side.

Finally, Amil Krupic capped off the period with the Norwegians' third of the night and his first of the competition.

In the third, Frölunda found their fourth when Filip Cederqvist found a trailing Högberg who received the pass, dusted it off and ripped it stick side at 47:05 for his second of the night.

Storhamar pulled their netminder in the dying minutes to try and save face, but it was Lars Johansson with the goalie goal that cemented the Swedes' win and with it three more points for Frölunda.
