HC Davos kept their perfect record intact as they fought off a late-game push from GKS Tychy to take their third of the season with a 4-2 decision. The Swiss have now won three straight while the Poles have yet to earn their first victory of the season.

A Lukas Frick marker made it 1-0 in favour of the Swiss at 7:24 of the first when he fired a wrister from just outside the far circle. Then later in the period, with less than three minutes left in the opening frame, Lars Steiner extended Davos' lead off a rebound chance down low when he pounced on a loose puck and swept it into the back of the cage.

Scoring picked up in the second with Tychy's Bartłomiej Pociecha cutting the deficit to one with his seeing-eye shot from the point. Pociecha received the point-pass from Bartłomiej Jeziorski, walked the blue line and shot it through traffic where the puck somehow found its way through bodies and into the back of the net to make it 2-1. 

But the Swiss reclaimed their two-goal lead moments later when Filip Zadina went upstairs with a one-timer to add to his already impressive point total through three games. Zadina and Ken Jäger played catch before Jäger slid one right in the wheelhouse of the forward who powered it past a helpless Tomáš Fučík.

Third period play got underway with the Poles putting on the pressure, but the Swiss were able to match it and deny Tychy any opportunities. But then late in the frame, the hosts were gifted a 5-on-3 advantage with a chance to cut into the lead. The result, however, was a sloppy powerplay that allowed Davos to easily chuck the puck out of their zone and kill any momentum the Poles had with the advantage.

Tychy went on another late powerplay and even pulled their netminder to gain a sixth attacker, but the Swiss' defence staved them off. The hosts would go on to light the lamp a second time thanks to Jakub Janik before bowing out as Davos' Rasmus Asplund put the final nail in the coffin with an empty-netter to help advance his team's win streak to three games.
