- Second straight OT win for Luleå
- Liberec remain last in Group C
- Swedes top with two games to go
A crazy game on Sunday afternoon saw Liberec and Luleå share eight goals before the Swedes stole an overtime winner 17 seconds left.
Arttu Illomäki needed only 3:09 to open the scoring as Justin Peeters in the home side's net failed to hold on to a speculative shot. The Bílí Tygři were level through Libor Hudáček at 9:43, before Lukáš Krenželok found the roof of the net from a tight angle to put Liberec ahead. The game however was level at the first period break, Luleå tying things up with Petter Emanuelsson's rocket.
Into period two, and again the visitors were ahead in a little more than three minutes - 3:53 this time needed before Einar Emanuelsson netted on the backhand as a Liberec penalty ticked off - but again they couldn't hold the lead with Tomáš Filippi leveling the game at 29:54. Krenželok's slapshot found the net to put Liberec back ahead at 34:26, but only 129 seconds later Nils Lundkvist's shot from distance found its way past Peters to make it four each.
Plenty of chances but no goals in period three, and so the game headed to overtime. The extra period was cagey at best, as both sides knew the importance of picking up the win. With the clock winding down, Luleå broke 2-on-1 where Filip Hållander was able to wrist home into the corner and grab the extra point for his team.
