- Jesper Sellgren: 1 goal, 1 assist for Luleå
- Rostislav Morosz: 1 goal for Liberec
- Liberec still without any points after 2 games
Luleå Hockey, winners of the 2014/15 Champions Hockey League season, got their first win of this season by beating visiting Bílí Tygři Liberec 4-1. The result gives Luleå four points and sends Liberec home with nothing to show for their first two games.
After both losing their first games on Thursday, the teams began this team rather conservatively, but midway through the second period, Luleå went up 5-on-3 after a pair of Liberec penalties 11 seconds apart and the home team didn't let this opportunity slip. Daniel Sondell finished off a pretty three-way passing play with Justin Peters left hung out to dry. After that, Luleå had the jump and dominated the rest of the middle frame and with 1:22 on the clock, Jesper Sellgren's shot from the point through traffic went over the shoulder of a screened Peters.
Down two goals with a period to go, Liberec stepped up their game in the third period and finally solved Joel Lassinantti with 10 minutes to go, with Tomáš Filippi passing out front to Rostislav Morosz, who made no mistake on the one-timer. Liberec then tried to press for the equalizer but had to forsake some defence to do so and gave up a breakaway to Einar Emanuelsson, who skated in alone and restored Luleå's two-goal cushion with 4:35 to go. A Filip Hållander empty-netter made it a 4-1 final.
