- Rungsted still looking for first win of the season
- Pilsen secure spot in the 2019/20 CHL playoffs with win
- Milan Gulaš continues to impress as he leads the tournament in scoring.
Game Day 4 action continued as Rungsted Seier Capital took on HC Pilsen at the Bitcoin Arena, with the hosts still in search for their first points of the tournament, while HC Pilsen came in looking to edge closer to a playoff place at the top of Group B.
Rungsted were first off the mark, right after a penalty to Vojtěch Němec expired, Gustav Green found Rasmus Andersson across the ice who fired the games opening goal past Dominik Frodl. Despite dominating the shot totals, Pilsen struggled to find an equaliser until very late into the opening period. A faceoff win saw the puck drop back to Michal Moravčík who blasted his shot from the point into the back of the net with less than three minutes to go in the first, and then the tournaments top scorer Milan Gulaš added another with less than a minute remaining to take a 2-1 lead into the second.
It didn't take long for Pilsen to add a third, less than a minute into the second period Vojtěch Němec picked up the puck after a defensive zone turnover, slotting the puck five-hole on Jon Lee-Olsen. Later in the period as Pilsen continued to control the tempo, Miroslav Indrák netted a fourth as he ripped his shot glove side on Lee-Olsen on a patrial breakaway. With Rungsted trailing by two heading into the final period, the next goal could be crucial, and they managed to get it as Shane Hanna grabbed the Danish side's second of the night, slotting a one-timer between the legs of Dominik Frodl. With neither team able to find the back of the net through the remainder of the third period, HC Pilsen picked up another win to stay top of Group B and secure their spot in the 2019/20 Champions Hockey League playoffs.
